Whole body health and rejuvenation using Neuromuscular Therapy and The Myokinesthetic System

Modalities Offered

Modalities

Myokinesthetic System: a technique that uses postural assessment to identify which nerve root is the core problem. It then combines movement and stimulation to only the muscles affected by that nerve root. This encourages the brain to realign that neural pathway, which alleviates the consequent symptoms. It causes a reverse ripple effect for that nerve and everything in its path. Traditional massage stimulates all 16 nerve roots. The Myokinesthetic protocols focus on only one; therefore it is 16 times more specific than traditional massage. The Myokinesthetic System is best suited for athletes and clients with chronic pain or injuries. It is extremely effective in preventing injury or further damage. It is safe to use with any condition, and can be used on persons of all ages.

Aromatherapy: use of specific essential oils to affect certain nerves or muscles to speed up and intensify the benefits of massage. Different essential oils affect different nerves and body systems.

Chair: 10-30 minute clothed massage performed in a specially-made chair.

Craniosacral Therapy: stimulation of the cerebrospinal fluid, through extremely gentle manipulation of the cranial and hip bones. This technique is focused on getting the cerebrospinal fluid back into its intended rhythm, so the body's self-healing abilities are functioning at their optimum. It is effective for physical and emotional healing, and releasing prior traumas from the body.

Crystal Therapy: use of specific crystals to enhance the body's own healing function. Every crystal resonates at a certain frequency, as they are formed in the Earth. Each bodily function - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual - also resonates at certain frequencies. If a bodily function is not in tune, using its corresponding crystal will heal the vibrations and retune it.

Energy Healing/Polarity Therapy: these techniques focus on stabilizing the electromagnetic fields that surround the body and the energy centers (chakras) of the body. Putting these back in harmony will positively affect every bodily function – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Enhanced Deep Tissue: intense massage focused on the deeper layers of muscle in whichever area the client needs work to fix a persistent muscle pain.

Fibromyalgia: combination of Myofascial/Kinetic Musculorehab, NMT, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage to relieve pain caused by Fibromyalgia.

Geriatric: gentle massage specifically designed to decrease the pain and agitation that coincides with aging and its conditions.

Hydrotherapy: the use of ice and/or heat treatments to supplement massage work. Heat relaxes muscles and draws new healthy fluids to the area, so the massage has more lasting effects. Ice pushes stagnant unhealthy fluids (inflammation) out of the area, while numbing the muscle so the brain can let go of it; which resets the muscle to its proper tonus.

Injury: combination of Sports, NMT, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage with Hydrotherapy to speed recovery of an injury and prevent or reverse overcompensation caused by an injury.

Juvenile: gentle massage incorporating Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Craniosacral Therapy, to help relieve stress and tension in children, while calming their Central Nervous System. Especially helpful for children with special needs.

Kinetic Musculorehab Technique: the use of passive range of motion stretches while massaging, to break apart adhesions and scar tissue that are limiting the muscle(s).

Manual Lymphatic Drainage: gentle massage that pumps the lymph through its intended circulatory cycle to decrease pain, toxicity, and inflammation, while boosting the immune system and optimizing the body's self-healing ability.

Myofascial Release: different specific techniques that stretch the connective tissue surrounding the muscles, to rid the area of scar tissue and adhesions. It eases muscle tension and helps reset proper structural alignment.

Neuromuscular Therapy: retraining the nervous system into proper structural alignment, by manipulating the muscles and their attachments.

Prenatal: specially designed massage to help alleviate the aches and pains common to pregnancy. The pregnant woman must be at least 13 weeks prenatal.

Prenatal Induction: Use of Crystal Therapy, Clary Sage essential oil, and Reflexology pressure points to encourage and prepare the body for labor.

Reflexology: massaging the hands, feet, and face to positively impact the rest of the body, including the organs, via the energy channels that connect everything.

Rolfing: stretching, manipulating and loosening the trains of connective tissue that can restrict joints and activity, to focus on improving structural alignment and ranges of motion.

Sports: the use of rapid strokes - to warm the muscles quickly, then stretches - to lengthen them and help joints shift back into alignment, to help the body achieve peak endurance. Best if received within 24 hours of sporting events, intense physical activity, or exercise.

Swedish: a generalized stress- and tension- relieving massage that increases circulation, boosts the immune system, and promotes all-around healing and rejuvenation.

TMJ: the use of Craniosacral Therapy and specific NMT protocols involving face, neck, and scalp massage which helps the TMJ realign; and alleviates the pain and side effects of TMJ Dysfunction.

Trigger Point: working the tissue to un-bind trigger points that have specific pain referral patterns, in order to rid the muscle of the point and any associated pain, tingling, or numbness.

Pressure Options: Light, Medium, Firm, Deep or any combination
